Comprehensive hearing assessment
A structured first assessment for adults who have noticed reduced hearing, difficulty understanding speech, tinnitus or another change in everyday listening. Results are reviewed with the audiologist and the next steps are discussed according to the findings.
A first structured assessment of hearing
Consider an assessment if you frequently ask people to repeat themselves, find speech harder to follow in background noise, use higher television volume, experience persistent tinnitus, or have noticed a clear change after an ear infection or prolonged noise exposure.
The appointment combines history-taking with hearing-threshold testing and assessment of middle-ear function. These findings help determine whether observation, additional testing, ENT management or hearing rehabilitation should be considered.
How long does the assessment take?
About 60 minutes, including consultation, hearing tests and discussion of the findings.
Do I need to prepare?
No special preparation is normally required. Bring previous hearing-test results or hearing aids if you have them.
When are the results discussed?
The available results are reviewed during the appointment and a written report is provided.
How is payment made?
Payment is made at the clinic after the service. Website prepayment is not required.
